COOKIE POLICY
Effective Date: August 2, 2026
1. Introduction
This Cookie Policy explains how Olive Health Ireland Ltd ("Company", "Olive", "we", "us", or "our") uses cookies and similar tracking technologies on our website and mobile application (the "Platform"). It should be read together with our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle personal data more generally.
This Policy is issued in accordance with the GDPR and the Irish ePrivacy Regulations (S.I. No. 336 of 2011, as amended), which govern the use of cookies and similar technologies on devices in Ireland.
5. Your Consent and How to Manage Cookies
When you first visit our website, you are shown a cookie banner offering three choices: Accept All, Reject Optional, or Customise. No Performance, Functionality, or Marketing cookie is placed on your device until you actively opt in — none of these categories are pre-ticked or enabled by default.
You can change your preferences at any time by selecting Cookie Preferences in the website footer or the in-app settings menu. You can also withdraw consent previously given; withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of any processing carried out before you did so.
Most browsers also let you block or delete cookies directly through your browser settings. Please note that blocking Strictly Necessary cookies may prevent parts of the Platform, including booking and video consultations, from working correctly.
6. Third-Party Cookies
Some cookies on the Platform are set by third parties who provide services to us, including payment processing (Bank of Ireland payment gateway), video consultations (Google), and website analytics (Google Analytics).
Where they set their own cookies, Google, Meta, and Bank of Ireland act as independent controllers in respect of the data those cookies collect. These providers may use the information collected by their cookies in accordance with their own privacy and cookie policies, which are linked from the Cookie Preferences panel and which we encourage you to review. We require all such providers to handle any data collected in a manner consistent with the GDPR.
Our payment gateway is operated by Bank of Ireland and the data collected through it is processed within the European Economic Area. Several of our other providers — including Google and Meta — are established in, or transfer personal data to, the United States. Where that happens we rely on the European Commission's adequacy decision for the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or, where a provider is not certified under it, on Standard Contractual Clauses supported by additional safeguards. You may request a copy of the relevant safeguards using the contact details in section 8.
Our diagnostic partners — Alliance Medical for radiology and Eurofins for laboratory testing — are not included in the above, because they receive data from us through secure back-end integrations rather than by setting cookies on your device. How your clinical information is shared with them, on what legal basis, and where it is processed is explained in our Privacy Policy.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time, including to reflect new cookies or tools added to the Platform. Where changes are material, we will notify you via the cookie banner or an in-app notice and ask for fresh consent where required. Each version of this Policy is dated and archived, and you may request a copy of any earlier version using the contact details in section 8.
